Sybase, Sun and BMMsoft set a Guinness World Record, as the creators of the World’s largest data warehouse.
According to the company , a product Sybase IQ, powered by its specialists on the server Sun SPARC Enterprise M9000, made it possible to create the World’s largest data warehouse, which has received hit in the well-known book of Records. Together with Sybase IQ on the server installed BMMsoft ServerSM software. As affirms, the database Sybase IQ is designed for storing a record high number of entries – more petabyte mixed (relational and unstructured data). It more than in 34 times exceeds the maximal value fixed in a standard industry test, and twice exceeds the size of the largest commercial data warehouse, known at this time. In total, the storehouse contains six trillion rows of transactional data and more than 185 million documents, in the contents of which is possible contextual search (emails, reports, spreadsheets and other objects).
