Samsung: the world’s brightest 46″ LCD panel

Samsung announced the beginning of the release of 46 “LCD panels with the highest brightness (for its class) in the world - 1500 cd/m2. At “conventional” LCD panels this option is approximately three times lower.

To achieve such a brightness managed through the use CCFL-lamps (on cold cathode), working at very high currents, as well as extremely thin color filter.

The panel has a contrast level of 3000:1 and resolution 1366 х768 pixels. At that angle vertically and horizontally comprise 178 °. Manufacturer developed the device with the possibility of creating video walls of several panels.

Due to new high brightness novelty can be used even in bright sunlight. The placing of screens on the basis of these panels supposed in places such as bus stops, railway stations, supermarkets, museums.
