Plextor announced the PX-820(S)A – a series of fast DVD-drives
Plextor prepares to release a couple of new models of DVD-writing drives: PX-820A (ATAPI) and PX-820SA (SATA), which are characterized by high speed recording supported optical media.
The speed of these Super-Multi drives is: DVD±R 20x, DVD-RAM – 12x, DVD+R DL/+RW – 8x, DVD-RW – 6x, CD-R – 48x and CD-RW – 32x. Double layer discs DVD-R DL, you can record at speeds of 12x.
Models Plextor PX-820A and PX-820SA, as expected, will debut in late May in Japan, where the price of these devices will be 65 and 70 U.S. respectively.
