NVIDIA plans to become simplest to gain a customer

Roy Taylor, vice president of NVIDIA, in an interview with the resource GamesIndustry.biz, said that the company in the near future will try to make the names of their products more friendly to customers.

Judging by his words, the company does not intend to introduce additional lines in addition to the GeForce, but try to few reduce the number of models in each of the series.

One can not but note that NVIDIA’s family of GPU is big. Thus only a GeForce 8800 lineup includes models with indexes GTX, GTS 640MB, GTS 320MB, GTS 512MB, GT 512MB, GT 256MB, GS 384MB (not so long ago renamed in 9600 GSO). Entangled in the characteristics and performance ratio may even be a very enlightened in this matter customer.

Let’s hope only that the simplification of NVIDIA’s family will not lead to a significant reduction in the number of NVIDIA products.
