Specialists profile division Electronic Components Group, comprising the analytical company Frost & Sullivan, reviewed the outlook for organic light-emitting diodes (OLED) and issued the appropriate conclusions.

According to analysts, the continuous decline in the prices of LCD panels has hampered the spread of OLED technology. However, the decline in prices served LCD disservice – factories for the production of LCD panels working on the verge of profitability, in the long run will lose opportunities to compete with rapidly progressive OLED technology.

The peculiar signal to the top offensive of the OLED will become a stabilizing prices of AMOLED panels, expected in the coming years. As a result, OLED technology in the future will be one of the key, especially in view of its application areas, including displays and lighting.
