Preliminary specifications NVIDIA GT200

The source reports that the first audit graphics processor GT200 are ready at
NVIDIA and now is the development and adoption of design cards (GeForce 9900 or
10000 Yet?) At their base.

That chip will consist of more than a billion
transistors, we have already reported. Now even referred to 1.3 billion GT200
will be the first NVIDIA solution, which supports DirectX 10.1 (remember AMD
realized it about six months ago in RV670).

The work plan with memory
NVIDIA chose different from the approach of competitors. Rather than implement
support for high-speed GDDR5 but with 256 – bitnyminterfeysom, a California
company decided to apply proven GDDR3, but do bus 512 – bit.

Given that
the current product-based kernel G92 have 256 – bit interface, double the growth
of bandwidth should be sufficient even for a very productive
GPU.

Streamed into a flagship processor accelerator would presumably 240.
In addition to these chips will be equipped with 120 textured blocks and 32
blocks ROP. The frequency of 600-650 MHz GPU, Shader Clock block – 1500
MHz.

According to the source, the withdrawal of products on the GT200 be
expected no earlier than the end of the next quarter, hence, the flagship Radeon
HD 4000 will be the time to establish in the market. Of course, if they do not
interfere with an 55 – nm G92b and cards based on it…
